My name is Jeff Jasinsky and I have been a professional photographer since 2011. Throughout my life I had always enjoyed taking pictures of a wide range of subjects using point and shoot cameras, but due to my work as an IT project manager for Hewlett-Packard, I didn't have the time to truly explore the more creative and technical side of photography.
In 2008, my family temporarily relocate to Geneva, Switzerland. This was the opportunity of a life time as I now had both the time and the stunning beauty of the Swiss countryside. Just before leaving I purchased my first full frame DLSR - a Nikon D700 along with both a Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 and 24-70mm f2.8 lenses. After only a few weeks in Switzerland I was hooked and there was no turning back. I was like a kid in a candy store, photographing everything - people, churches, architecture, cars, motorcycles, and landscapes. It was truly a dream come true.
After returning in 2010, the photography momentum continued and I began to shoot my son's basketball games. Sports provided entirely new challenges, as fast action and poorly lit gyms required me to push my photography creativity and technical knowledge to a whole new level. As with anything, the more you learn the better you become. The favorable response to the photos from both parents and players compelled me to start my own photography business (Swiss Alps Pro, llc) in 2011.
Although, I enjoy sports photography I have always been fascinated with the process, creativity and technical challenges of capturing architectural images. In January of 2014, I turned my focus to real estate photography, which truly brings together all of my capabilities -- my knowledge of cameras, lighting, editing, and IT software. It also fits very well with my personality as I enjoy meeting new people and approach my business knowing client satisfaction is the greatest accomplishment.
Photography is ever changing -- whether it is the equipment or techniques. The most rewarding aspect is learning, perfecting and applying new techniques and equipment so I can provide the highest quality professional images. It is this philosophy and passion for the art that drives me to provide the best.
